Youthful Outing-Youth RP

(OOC: I've got so many, I'm only bringing those in my main cove, and I'll probably split them into small groups to make it easier to track them.)




Clang, clang, clang, the hammer on the metal, angle it just so, and thus.... Hmmm, perhaps shift a bit more... Mace thought, carefully repositioning the bit of armor he was repairing. Belisarius had done quite a number on it. He shifted the shoulder guard a bit, and....

"Mace!"

"MACE!"

*twang*

Startled out of his reverie by the chorus of calls, the hammer made an ugly sound as it hit the metal wrong. Putting the hammer down, Mace moved to his shop door to see what the excitement was about. William, the little scamp, was in the lead (as usual), followed by the twins Glacier and Volcano. Faith, Miranda, Radon, and Casper followed. William was waving a bit of parchment excitedly as he led the charge. Mace sighed. The only adults home at that moment were the skittish Felix and the (very) scary Rogue (who also happened to be in a rather foul mood at the moment), which explained why the younglings were bringing whatever it was to him.

"Lookit, Mace! The Sun Cove is having an outing to one of the Reefs, and everyone is invited! Can we go? Please please please?" William exclaimed, clearly overly excited. The others chorused in with more pleases. Looking at those excited and hopeful young faces, Mace couldn't say no.

"All right, we'll go. One of you go get Patience and Cassy, and get ready to go yourselves. I'll be along in a few minutes, let me grab a few things."

"YAY!" the cry went up, and the pack turned and charged back toward the dwellings. Turning back into his shop, Mace put up his tools, grabbed a harness and short spear (one never knew when a nasty would come along) then headed for Nicholas' rooms. The cove leader kept a stash of all sorts of items that would be very handy on this little trip.

William could barely contain the squeal as he raced off to find Patience and Cassy. Cassy was probably with Felix, and Patience was likely with them. Cassy loved history, but her blindness was a distinct problem when reading scrolls. Felix was always willing to read from his beloved history scrolls, and that's probably what they were doing.



Radon followed in William's wake, absolutely thrilled. This would be so much fun! He wondered if his twin would be there.


Casper was also happy, and hoped to meet other regular finned youths. He loved the dwarfs, he truly did, but... It could be hard, being the only finned youth in the cove at the moment.


Faith and Miranda smiled at each other, and nodded. So very different on the outside, but so very similar on the inside, they both looked forward to the outing. And were hoping to meet up with other twins.


Glacier and Volcano followed in the wake of the twin girls, and exchanged a conspiritory wink. They'd think up something mischievous to do.



Cassy sighed, as Felix's voice rolled over her. The scroll was an old one, and the tale it told was one of hope. Some were dark indeed.

"Oh dear," Patience said, interrupting Felix. "Here comes William."

Cassy felt the currents shift, as Felix spun. He really was a nervy one. "Oh my! And he looks like something's up."

Cassy smiled to herself. With William, it seemed something was always up.

"Hey girls! Guess what? Sun Cove is having an outing to a reef, and everyone is invited! Mace has agreed to go along, too. C'mon!"

Cassy felt the currents, as Patience shifted. Patience was rather shy, and Cassy took shameless advantage of her own "handicap" to force her friend to be more outgoing. After all, if one who was blind could do it, then anyone could! So, Cassy agreed to go for the both of them. "We come, William," Cassy called. Then, inclining her head in the direction she knew Felix to be, she continued to him. "Thank you, as always, for reading. But we've kept you from your studies long enough, and if we don't go on this outing, the others will all come to find out why we haven't and they will disorder the study again."

Felix snorted, and made a shooing gesture. "Go along with you two, and have fun!
