Breeds There are currently four accepted seaquine breeds. |
 | Finned The finned seaquine is the most common breed found on the reef. All other breed originated from this breed |
 | Kelpie Kelpies are closely related to the finned Seaquines. They are less
common, only 1 kelpie for every 5 fins, and tend to be more shy and
reclusive. They prefer to live in the deeper, less populated, waters of
the Lower Reef and in the lands adjacent to the kelp forests. |
 | Dwarf About half the size of
the basic seaquine. Dwarves come from a small colony of
seaquines located on the southern most point of the reef.
The confined nature of their home, Outreach, has led to their diminutive
stature. They lack the delicate fins of the other breeds and are extremely hardy. |
 | Ghost Little is know about
these elegant glowing seaquines. They live in the deep
on the dark floor of the Abyss. Only those eggs marked by the crushing
sickness are sent to hatch and live in the shallower waters of the
reef. |
Mutations and Hybrids |
 | Lionfish Mutation(all breeds)
Long ago the Seaquine's found themselves harassed by pirates from the deep sea. In
order to defend themselves they turned to a certain sea anemone known to
cause a radical mutation. Covered in poisonous spines this generation of
Seaquine defenders helped drive off the invaders and proved themselves so useful
that permission was given to maintain a Lionfish population at all times. Only
exposing an egg to a lionfish anemone can guarantee the hatching of a new
lionfish Seaquine. |
