Common Questions

What Is an Adoptable?

An adoptable is generally a form of digital art that can be collected and often interacted with in some way.

What is a Seaquine?

Seaquines are aquatic equine adoptables created and managed by me, Tammy Abbey.

There are currently four breeds and two major mutations.

There are many pattern and color options with nearly endless variety.

How do I get a seaquine?

Seaquines may be obtained through special events.

All Seaquine events take place in either the Pony Island forums or the Seaquine forums.

Seaquines are most often offered in flat-sales, auctions, and raffles.

Seaquines can be free or can be purchased for PG, USD, and Seaquine Coins depending on the event.

How do I name my seaquine?

Please do not name your new seaquines in the thread.

Forum members can use the records thread to name their seaquine.

If you are not a forum member send a PM to abbeyinc.

Vocabulary

Seaquine Coins: Special coins that can only be earned through seaquine events and certain items.  Coins can be used to purchase items from seaquine shops, gypsy wares, and even customs.

XP: Experience points can be gathered in a variety of ways, from games, to rp participation, to simply helping out with a task.  Experience points are used to increase your ranking in the spectrum paths and to gain better skills for your seaquines.

OPTs: Once-Per-Thread options.  Seaquines can earn skills.  Many of these skills have special options that can be used once per thread.  OPTs can earn you xp, coins, and sometimes items.  Detailed information can be found on the forums.

Pods:

Pods are groups of seaquines.

Coves:

Coves are homes for a single pod.  They must have five members in the pod in order to form a cove.  Coves provide advanced options such as pet breeding, increased item storage and much more.

Pets:

Seaquines love pets and there are many varieties.  The average seaquine may only keep two pets but if they are trained as a keeper they may keep as many as they wish.

What can I do I do with my Seaquine?

There are many things a player can do with their seaquine.  I have provided a list below to

show some of the options available to seaquine owners.

Type of PlayDifficulty/InvolvementDescription
CollectingLowThe simplest level of play is just collecting.  Seaquines are most often offered in flat-sales, auctions, and raffle.  Seaquines can be free or can be purchased for PG, USD, and Seaquine Coins depending on the event.
GamesLow/MediumI try to host a variety of games including Pop the Bubble, Snail Races, Clawbster Chase, etc.  Games are a great way to collect coins, points and some rare items that cannot be purchased.
DevelopmentLow/MediumThere are a variety of ways to develop your seaquine such as Shedding Season,  Bonding Season, and learning skills.  One way to earn skills is to attend the Academy, or you can earn them through PI seaquine events.
BreedingMediumLink to breeding page.  2 Seasons per year
RoleplayMedium/HighOccurs at random intervals.  Roleplay helps develop your seaquine's personality and can provide a player with unique items and experience points.
Spectrum PathsHighThis is by far the most complicated part of the seaquine world.  Participation is not required but can earn your seaquines many special items and features.
